StratAGEic Consortium Meeting: Turning Knowledge into Action Against Ageism
The StratAGEic consortium met in Brussels on 8 - 9 September 2026 to review progress and plan the next phase of the project, with a strong focus on turning knowledge about strategic litigation into practical action at national and European level.

A key focus of the meeting was WP3 Experimenting with strategic litigation to combat ageism. Partners discussed the next online workshops, the development of a practical litigation strategy pathway, and how each national partner can adapt it to their own legal and social context. The pathway will guide organisations through key decisions, possible consequences and potential challenges when developing a litigation strategy.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of mutual learning across countries. Through planned national field visits, partners will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, explore different approaches to similar cases and learn from each other’s legal and institutional contexts.
Another important outcome was the planning of the project's upcoming deliverables, including a litigation strategy template, national litigation strategies for each partner, and field visits in Cyprus, Greece, Poland and Portugal. These activities will provide practical tools and opportunities for organisations to develop their own approaches to strategic litigation against ageism.
Communication and visibility were also high on the agenda. Partners agreed to strengthen their social media and website presence, share stories and images from project activities, and create more opportunities to present StratAGEic at events and conferences.
The Brussels meeting marked another important step for StratAGEic: moving from learning about strategic litigation towards developing concrete strategies, building partnerships and creating the conditions for meaningful change in the fight against ageism.
